Personal Experience & Biography

Paul V. Shehadi focuses on the representation of whistleblowers at Young Law Group.  Paul’s broad-based experience as an attorney and former small business owner is particularly well-suited for working with whistleblowers and understanding the complexities of the business and industries from which they come.

After graduating from law school, Paul served as a law clerk to the Honorable Robert N. C. Nix, Jr., Chief Justice of Pennsylvania Supreme Court, where he drafted legal opinions and honed the many important advocacy skills that continue to guide him through his legal career.

Following his clerkship, Paul joined a large Philadelphia law firm where he represented domestic insurers in coverage disputes involving environmental and first-party property damage claims.  Those cases involved complex factual and legal issues brought by Fortune 100 companies who sought coverage for environmental liabilities imposed on them by CERCLA and other federal and state statutes.

Paul later joined a construction litigation firm in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, where he represented architects, engineers and other design professionals in litigation initiated against them.  He defended clients in cases involving issues such as: errors and omissions affecting structural, mechanical and electrical systems; construction schedule disruptions and delays; and property damage and personal injury arising from construction projects.

Prior to law school, Paul worked as a project manager for an environmental consulting firm where he performed risk assessments and had responsibility for compliance assurance and oversight of projects involving hazardous materials.

Paul received a B.S. in Economics from Temple University in 1989, and his J.D. from Widener University Delaware Law School in 1993 where he received American Jurisprudence awards for legal research and writing, administrative law, and directed research.
